I moved into my little home in Aiken in the spring of 2004. For the first few years, my wife and I worked at trying to create a nice yard. But it didn’t take long for it to get a head of us, and other priorities took over. For some reason one of the prior owners planted a large group of azalea bushes in the back yard. Starting in 2005, and almost every spring since, my daughter and I would go into the azaleas and do a little photo shoot. Some of our favorites are here.
Though, the rest of the images are just little scenes I found when I would take a few minutes to look closely in my yard and a few of my neighbor’s. I do not have a very nice yard, in fact I am surprised my HOA hasn’t said anything. Though, I hope what you get out of this studio is, no matter where you are, or what is around you at any time of the day, there is always something interesting to find.
